My great-grandfather was Charles Anderson (B Sweden 1859). He drowned in the canal in Lockport in 1916. Besides my grandmother Clara, he and wife Emma Hanson had 4 sons. All were born in Lemont - George 1889, Charles Grover 1893, Howard 1897, Lester 1900. Emma left Charles and then raised the boys in Joliet, where she died 1918. My mother always said her 4 uncles were all 'bums' but I'd like to know. I have exhausted the standard sources(ancestry, familysearch, etc.) and didn't find much - Anderson is a common name. Would like to know more - particularly names of their wives, children, where they lived, where/how they died. Anyone related or know more?
