PLEASE...when you submit a query let me ask you to remember to include three items of information:
1. Place the person in time. Definite birth/death years are best, but giving an approximate range of years can be a help. Most queries just say something like "my g-g-g-grandfather" and give no idea of the time period in question.
2. Give a geographic area in a state for your ancestor. Some queries forget to include this. At least put "I think they lived around such-and-said county or town" or that you are not sure where in a state that they lived.
3. I realize that many will not know, but if you do know, please include what type of Baptist your ancestor was (ABC, Missionary, SBC, Primitive, Free Will, etc.) This makes a MAJOR difference in suggesting possible sources of information.
I have helped several individuals on this list with information, but I generally delete messages that do not include this information. Make your life easier!
