My gr gr grandfather,John Middleton,rode with the Belle Starr Gang, and was a lover of Belle for a time. Was killed by Sam Starr at the Poteau River and buried at Whitefield Cemeterie in Haskell County. My Granfather Jesse Coleman Hughes also was sent to McAllister prison for larceny in Haskell County.
