im trying to trace my grand uncles birth record who was born in America and they returned to lancashire - he died at age 14 in little hulton but was born in America - i dont know where he was born but his parents were called george wolstencroft and alice (nee Jarvis) its possible they were staying with relatives of alice and thye were in america for abt 5 years

its very strange as if the birth was recordered in america and the death in England might arthur still be registered as 'alive' is america ???? if the records didnt catch up for some time afterwards ????

im having great difficulty as only one of alices children bore children (my grandma) the others either died or didnt have children so there are no matching trees to pop onto - but alice had brothers who stayed in america their names were john jarvis
