This was my paternal grandmother. She was first married to a man named Porter, a schoolteacher; later married to Dr. John Barton (my grandfather); later married to Rev. Ezekiel Blevins. She lived in the Piney Creek community. She was born in approximately 1859, was raised on Old Fields Creek. She had two sons (I think her only children): Archie Barton, who spent his adult life in Cleveland, Ohio, and Bryan L. Barton who moved to Marion and Sugar Grove, Virginia. She had one brother (perhaps more), Rev. Franklin Barker, who was pastor of Landmark Baptist Church for many years and lived in the Silas Creek community.
