I know this is a very long shot but we have had some information that my grandmother had a child out of wedlock which she then put up for adoption. Her name was Vera Irene Davies and we think she gave birth around 1940 in the Pontypridd area, Mid Glamorgan, South Wales. She has since died but when we came to sort through her documents we discovered that she had destroyed or removed all certificates relating to herself. If anyone has any information that might be of use we would be extrememly grateful.
