Hi all...
I am helping put together a family tree for my "adopted" aunt. I have her connecting back to William T. Ames married to Adelia ( Adaline) Desmond ( In some records listed as Jerusha Desmond), their son William J. Ames married Jennie Lind Harsen, daughter of A. W. Harsen and Jane Richardson. I have found a couple of other Ames in the 1880 Clay census that seem to fit as possible brothers of William T., Hiram Ames (born 1834 Canada per Census) married Lura (Laura) Desmond, is one that really seems to connect. From records looks like these Ames men married sisters.
I have the Harsen, Stewart connections going fine, but this Ames line is giving me a hard time. I have searched for sometime now, in the death record of William T. it lists his parents as John Ames and Betsey Moore. I also found a John Ames death record, that states he was born approximately 1811 in PA. he died 1875 in Clay. His parents listed were Elisha Ames and Betsey Ames. I feel this may be the father of William T. and possibly the Hiram I mentioned.
If anyone can help me with this line i would appreciate it greatly. I have many more branches to fill in and know the info is out there, so I would like to be able to move on the Ames branch. It seems as though the surname spelling may have changed.. Her connection is:

William T. Ames - Adelia(Adaline) Desmond
William J. Ames - Jennie Lind Harsen
Clifford Dan Ames - Mabel Augusta Minnie Jacoby( i ) (Have Jacoby line going fine)
Dorothea (Dorothy) Elizabeth Ames (her mother)
Any help once again would be greatly appreciated...
