My great-grandparents were Antonio and Domenica Maiorina Di Salvo. My Grandfather Salvatore 1886-1974, was born in Castel di Sangro along with his siblings, Vincenzo 1878-1972,Cesare 1881-1923, Mariannina 1883-1968, and Domenica, 1895-1951. All the siblings came to United States in the years 1900-1910 and all settled in Chicago, IL. I have been told that Antonio was married twice and Domenica was half sister to the rest.
After a few years in the U.S. the spelling of the name changed to De Salvo, with the exception of Cesare's widow, Natalina, who never remarried and kept original spelling.
Interested in exchanging info with anyone familiar with this family, especially from Italy.
