Hello everyone. I'm new with the research and the website, I don't really know how you arrive to have your ancestors back from 1700 or further.. All I know, is my great-grand-parents'names. I'm from Belgium, but I might have Irish or Scottish ancestors.

My g-g-parents'names are: Julien Ide and Marie-Louise Rabeau (late 1800-early 1900).
If any of you can help me with informations or just explanations on "how to get back far far away in the past to find my ancestors", it'd be great.
