Can anyone tell me what military district these battles were in during the Rev. War? From research, for instance, I understand that what is now KY was part of the VA military district and I'm assuming the same held true for other parts of the colonies. My delema is that I have an ancestor that enlisted in PA, fought at the battles of Long Island and Brandywine and mustered out at Falls Point MD. The PA Archives has no record of him as a PA soldier. I would like to find solid proof that he was a soldier in the war. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
