I wondered if anyone can help me with this brick wall that has had me stumped for so long. I'm looking for Thomas BLYTH who married Maria SMITH on the 27 Mach 1798 at St. Mary's Church, Fort St.George, Madras. Maria died 17 Nov 1819 in Madras and Thomas died before 1823. I've been unable to find any information which can lead me to moving backwards at all. They had 9 children that I know of - Thomas Joshua, Amelia Lydia, Julia, Eliza Matilda, maria Cecilia, James Henry, Henry Gwilliam, Jemima Matilda and Lydia Isabella who were all born in Madras between 1799 and 1810. The Blyth family are connected to the surnames Ardagh, Russel and Doyle. If anyone can help me at all I'd really appreciate it.
