Since 1987 The Gaston Lincoln Genealogical Society has been open to anyone with roots, connections, or who are simply interested in genealogical and/or historical research in Gaston and Lincoln Counties, NC. Old Lincoln County, NC encompassed present day Lincoln and Gaston (after 1846), as well as parts of Catawba (after 1842) and Cleveland (after 1841) Counties, NC.
As a member of the Gaston Lincoln Genealogical Society you'll receive a copy of Footprints In Time, the official publication of the GLGS, each March, June, September and December. Members are encouraged to submit articles as well as unlimited queries each year for this publication to be used as space is allowed. Queries may be submitted for publication in the Footprints In Time.
The society meets alternately at the Gaston and Lincoln Libraries. Meetings are open to anyone. Future meetings will be announced. The Society also plans to offer a beginner genealogy class in October of this year. More details will be given later.
