Looking for the family of Charles Franklin GRIMM, wife was Verna Lucille GORDON and children were Majorie b 1917; Charles (called Merle)b 1909; Ward b 1913, Kenneth b 1914; and Jean Lucile b 1922 and died 1924. Possibly a foster child was part of this family by the name of Jackson Whitfield, b 1910 who took the family surname as his.
The family came to Gainesville between 1918 and was in 1920 census in Gainesville on Franklin Street. Jackson Whitfield Grimm was not listed as part of the family. He would have been 10 at the time. The mother to Charles Franklin, Anna HAYS Grimm and father Isiah Franklin GRIMM were probably already in the area prior. There is a grave site for Isiah in Evergreen Cemetery. Anna died and is buried in Baton Rouge, LA. She ran a boarding house for a while in Gainesville.
I'm particularly looking for information on Ward GRIMM . Where did he go? What happened to him? Could he be the Jackson Whitfield Grimm that claimed to be part of this family?
The children were in the Gainesville High School in the 20's but scattered to different part of the country afterwards.
Any help of information will be appreciated.
