Missing marriage Records? May be misindexed...

I just wanted to point out that ancestry.com acquired the 1973-1999 Kentucky Marriages database from the Kentucky Department of Libraries & Archives already indexed electronically. I have verified at least ten marriages for my family that are incorrectly indexed to the WRONG COUNTY.

If you are looking for missing relatives marriages in this database (1973-1999 Kentucky Marriages)--TRY McCREARY COUNTY RECORDS. My living cousins & uncles are incorrectly indexed over there instead of in Martin County--where they married.

Another clue that the database is indexed incorrectly? There are 378 marriage records for the surname Preece in McCreary County, Kentucky from the 1973-1999 Kentucky Marriages database BUT there is not a single Kentucky Death Index nor Social Security Death Index listing for the surname Preece in McCreary County. Lots of the names look familiar...bet they are from Martin County. At least one of them is--I confirmed my living Uncle's marriage record was indexed to McCreary (vice Martin) there by reviewing that electronic record with him today.
