My husband, Tally "Ryan" Wilson, was adopted and we have very little information to search with. We do know that he was born on September 8, 1966 in Sumter, SC, his name before adoption was Tally Ryan Purdue, his adopted parents are Sadie & Tally Wilson. The following information may or may be totally correct: birth mother's name was Lee(Lea, Leigh, not sure of spelling) & may have had long dark hair. Birth father was a pilot in the Air Force & was stationed at Shaw AFB. May be other children, possible siblings.
We were told that Tally traveled every day to Sumter, SC before work to see & check on Lee & the unborn baby. Tally & Sadie brought Ryan home from the hospital when he was born. The adoption was finalized in Columbia, Richland County, SC on April 19, 1972.
Ryan has medical issues that a complete family, medical history could be useful. We also have kids and would like to have the medical information for them. We hope that some of the family, or someone that knew them will see this and contact us. We have had a lawyer go to a judge to get the records opened. He only granted for the lawyer to see them & for only any medical information to be revealed. The lawyer reported that the papers had been in a basement flood & heavily damaged.
