The back of Carries portrait says that she was orphaned at age 7 and raised by an unmarried uncle who sent her to school in a convent. The back of James portrait says he graduated from Center College at Danville Ky. Not clear on when Joseph died other than maybe 1870. Any information would be most helpful.
