I am out here in California trying to get a little info on my 3rd great grandfather Perry Cohea and his wife Mary Burney. I know he was a slave owner, lawman and merchant. He scouted out a place for the MS state pen and drove the Choctaw out of the region. He was born in 1779 in Maryland and died in Jackson MS in 1848. I know nothing about Mary Burney and would also like to know about any children they had other than my 2nd great grandfather Edward Ulysses Cohea, Mexican war vet. Any info would be appreciate
