I'm looking for information on a Peter McKay/MacKay. He married a Margaret Kerr. They are listed in the 1851 and 1861 Canadian census for Oxford County. Peter died in 1863 or 1865 and his will identified his nephew Peter Ross, his sister Mary Ross, his sister Merran Leslie who had passed on and her children William Leslie and Janet Leslie. I believe this Peter McKay/MacKay is the brother of my John McKay/MacKay who was born Nov 1806 in (Kinnauld)Sutherland, Scotland. He married Marion McKay/MacKay, daughter of William McKay/MacKay and Jean Grant.
