I am having a heck of time determining which Grant line my ggggrandfather, Ebenezer was from. He was born in abt. 1790 in Mass, maybe Bristol County. He married a Sarah or Sally also born in Mass but after 1790. In 1815, they moved to Ovid NY, in the Finger Lakes, where they had their family-Hiram 1816-1889, Truman 1821, Hulda in 1825, William in 1827 and finally, my gggrandfather John in 1830. The next year, the family moved west to Raisinville, Monroe Co. Michigan. Ebenezer died there in 1855, about five years after John married Maria Esther Henry. They had their famiy there-Carry S. on 28 Jan. 1857, my great frandfather Arthur W. on 22 May 1859,Henry R.H. on 21 March 1861 and finally Elsie C. on 19 Dec. 1862 where her daddy was at the Battle of Fredericksburg with the 17th Michigan, Co. C. He never returned home to his young family as he died of typhoid fever, on Feb. 1, 1863 "somewhere" in Vir or Md. If you recognize any name, please contact me. Thanks
