I have two postcards that my great grandfather has from the war. They are from two different persons and one is dated 1919.
The address is from Mont-sur-Marchienne in Belgium and they lived on Rue Saint Jacques numbers 120 and 122. One name is Madame Chibant Jules [as best as I can decipher] and Mademoiselle Jeaune Quintus.
They both talk of being sad at him leaving and returning back to Australia. His name is Alfred Ayres. If anyone has any information on the names and even on the area at war-time, it would be most interesting. Cheers :)
