CAMERON - Otto Matzig, 89, of Cypress and formerly of Cameron died Saturday, Oct. 6, in a Cypress hospital. Graveside funeral services were held 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Shuffield officiating.

Mr. Matzig, a retired employee of Harris County.

He was born March 26, 1918 in Milam County near Cameron to Karl and Carolina (Jaresch) Matzig.

His wife Dorothy Matzig preceded him in death in 1999.

Survivors include three children, Jane Osman and Don Matzig of Cypress and Reba Cash of Spring; sister, Anne Heitman of Cameron; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
