Last year I had Y-DNA testing done that helped me get around my brick wall with John Wyatt born about 1778 in North Carolina, first wife - Ally Rains, 2nd wife - Mary Honeycutt. John appears to be linked to William Wyatt, born about 1735 and lived in Rowan Co, NC during his later life, son of John Wyatt born about 1713 in Perquimans Co. NC.

Many people have tried to link William to a William Wyatt born in Delaware and give a Margaret Bostick in the area as his wife. I have doubts about the Delaware connection, Recently I had the autosomal DNA test Family Finder done and I am finding some interesting results. I have a remote cousin relationship to a person with a Bostick in his line. However this Bostick family is in New Kent, Virginia. Charles Bostick born about 1713 married a Betty Hendrick. Interestingly I have remote cousin relationships from other lines to two of her siblings, so I am pretty confident that Charles and Betty are the parents of William Wyatt's wife.
