I am researching my fiance's family tree and have hit a brick wall with his great grandfather, David Emrys Davies. He was known by his middle name Emrys and was a famous cricketer for Glamorgan between 1924-1954 and a cricket umpire between 1956-1959.

Emrys was born 27th June 1904 in Llanelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales and died 10th November 1975 in Llanelly. He married Annie Gertrude Moodie in Llanelly in 1927 and they had one child, Peter Moodie Davies (b.1931 in Llanelly). I know that Emrys had a brother, Gwynfor Davies (b.12th Aug 1908 in Llanelly - 10th March 1972 in Llanelly).

I have no other information on Gwynfor or his and Emrys' parents.
