I have the 1920 US Census for one of my grandparents / great grandparents. I need help reading the place of birth, and what the modern name is.

That's 1920 US Census, Massachusetts, Suffolk, Chelsea, Ward 2, District 629, sheet 33 B (image 65 of 77)

Names are Israel GOLDIN, Rose, Elizabeth, Celia and Molly.

Place of birth of the Israel and Rose seems to be Volina, Russia. Could be Votina or something.

The family below seems to be Vilna if you accept that the cross the L is not making it a T. Hence my relatives would be Volina, not Votina.
