I have traced one line of the family of my great,great grandfather Edward Williams to California in 1920/30. It appears that his eldest son Benjamin W Williams (b 1856 in Llanelly Wales) together with his unmarried daughter Lucy (b 1882 in Wales)had moved from Greenville PA to Malibu, Los Angeles where he was a Florist in a Nursery somewhere between the years 1910 and 1920. They lived in a place called Booneville (I'm not sure if this was a town , street or housename. He must have died between the years 1920 and 1930 as I can only find Lucy as a housekeeper in the 1930 census.

Benjamin had 3 more brothers Thomas, David and Edward H and a sister Sarah Jane who also emigrated to the USA in approx 1884. I cannot trace any of them beyond 1884.

Benjamin also had a son Herbert who moved from Greenville PA to Youngstown Ohio, married Etta Mann from Eire had one son William in 1919 and then moved to Covington City, Kenton, Kentucky. They had another son Richard F Williams born in 1928. I can trace this branch until 1930 and know that it is possible that these 2 sons or their direct descendants are alive today. Herbert Williams was a Manager of a Shoe repairers in Covington City in 1930. If anyone knows of any branch of this family I would be interested in hearing from them as I have information about the part of the family that remained in Wales.
