My mother's first cousin, Audrey Rose Martin had secret pregnancy. This apparently was a huge secret. None of my aunts and uncles in NJ knew about this.

Audrey lived in Bridgeport, CT with her brother John Martn, his wifek, and his daughter Lara.

Audrey had the baby in either 1951 or 52. It was a boy and he was born in one of the Bridgeport CT hospitals. She was 31 or 32 when she had the baby.

In Sep 1952, she was married for 45 days, but he was probably not the father. His name was Robert L Beirn, and he is also deceased. It's possible, however, his name was put on the birth certificate to save her reputation. The marriage was annulled and they later divorced in 1955.

Audrey was very wifty. She fell off her horse as a teenager, and has a severe head injury. That may be why she did not want to have the baby adopted, but did not want to keep him. He stayed in foster care until he was old enough to leave. I don't know if she was ever contact with him.
