My gg grandfather, John Hewitt never revealed details of his childhood to anyone, including his wife. Family never had any idea who his parents were or if he had any brothers and sisters. Using ancestry I have managed to track down the following info:
born in Cramache twp, Northumberland county 1843. Parents were David Hewitt and Margaret Haig.
I found out what happened to all of his half-siblings but I am still searching for the fate of his only full sibling, his brother George Hewitt, born in 1839 or 1840, same place, same parents. Does anyone have any information they could share?
