I am searching my great grandmother: Ana Elsbeth Sensenbach.
She took out a marriage licence in 1880's in Colorado, USA with John Flury. I don't know if they were actually married . They both list Switzerland as their place of birth. She named her first child Charles Francis. Other children: Susan(Suzanne), John, Margaret, Alma, Gertrude, Gilford, Hansen, Alice, Grace Matilda, Alfred Andrew, Minnie
,Elizabeth. The family story goes that Ana was born 11-19-1865 into a "royal" family in Switzerland. Her mother ran away with a commoner, was retrieved, and Ana was the product of this short union. Her mother had a "short" arm. Her mother married a clockmaker. Ana was sent to US around the 1880's to meet her male tutor from Switzerland to marry him(John Flury?). Ana spoke 7 languages but German was her prefered. She also had a beautiful singing voice and could play many instruments very well. So, perhaps the aristocatic ancestry fits. I really know nothing but family stories about her. She was very petite, under 5 ft. tall and slender. Very attractive and spunky.
I don't know if Sensenbach(Sensbach) was her father's, step-father's, or mother's name. Please help. Email me direct.
