In the early part of the century is was common for Tennesseans to go to Murray, Walker or Catoosa Counties to be married, no blood test and no waiting like here in Tennessee. WE suspect that Thomas L. Gaston married both his wives in a northern Georgia county. First wife was Nancy Elizabeth Mayfield, descended from Nancy Ward, and Thomas'es second wife was Anna Carter. We are searching for information on these folks and a source of marriage records for this area in between 1890 and 1915. Any help appreciated.
