Traceing back one line and it starts to get a little confusing. I had a Maria Van Zile who was born in Concord, Erie, New York and married Squire Hill Knapp in Ripley County on December 31 1829 (she is list as Mariah Vanzile pn the Ripley County marriage records. Today I find a Maria R van Zile married William H Breurn on October 30, 1852. Now I am starting to get just a little confusec. Did she get married a seconf time? Why does the second marriage use her maiden name? Is it really the same persaon? Any help will be gladlyt appreciated.
