This photograph is found in an album belonging to James Bone Lutman (1845-1922) a Hampshire-native who joined Her Majesty's 69th Regiment of Foot and served in various parts of the British Empire between 1865 and 1874. He was posted to Gibraltar from 1873 to 1874. The photograph was simply labelled "Osborne" who was presumably an officer or comrade who was known to Lutman. The photograph was taken by J. Morillo on Waterport Street, Gibraltar.
