Grandma was born in Mississippi on April 1, 1879 and married in Newton, Mississippi October 18, 1896. Her maiden name was Harriett Jane REAVES/REEVES and she married Thomas James REEVES. The family story was that a REAVES married a REEVES. We have a copy of the marriage affidavit and that does not give her parents’ names. The information on her death certificate was provided by a non family member and is not helpful either. We know nothing further about her family and are seeking her parents’ names.

Does anyone know whether any of the following are available for Newton, MS for the years 1879 -- 1900?

I live in Washington state but we usually travel to Louisiana a couple of times a year and could drive on over to Mississippi to do some searching.
