I have found references at Mercer University for E. M. Colbert, as a licensed minister for the years 1885-1888 in the Hightower Dist. The locations were, Hickory Flat, Woodstock and McConnel. I have been able to locate the first two on a map. Does anyone have the location for McConnel. Also...does anyone know if there is a church history for Mt. Zion Baptist (which I believe is probably in the Canton area.) Elijah M. Colbert and his wife Martha Caroline (Hill) are suspected to have been members of that church at one time.
