It seems there are alot of relatives of Lewis Downing. Maybe we could all post our lost or rumored relatives and find some connections. Mine is Zack Downing, supposed brother of Lewis, father of Caroline or Parthenia Downing, born 1835. She married George Andrew Crane, and is stated to be Cherokee, but couldn't "prove up" in 1882. Any takers?
