Searching for info on my husband's birth parents. He was born in Washington, DC in 1947 and named Joseph Lee Hill. Many young women gave birth in DC because birth parent names were permanently deleted upon adoption so that "original" birth certificates list only adoptive parent names.

Ancestry DNA results point to a Miers and/or Cooley or close relative being one one of his parents. He/she was probably born 1918-1930. Seems almost definite that he's descended from Littleberry Cooley, so there are many, many possibilities. The results indicate that it is likely both of his parents were from SW Louisiana.

His ethnicity breakdown: Great Britain (54%), Europe East (13%), Iberian Peninsula (11%), Europe West (10%), Ireland (8%), Scandinavia (4%).
