I would be interested to read any e-mail relating to the Rennekers of the Neuenkirchen parish (and nearby), Oldenburg, Germany. One, Heinrich or Henry, b 1857, emigrated to Cincinnati residing mostly in Hamilton, Butler Co. (1910-1930) and died 1931 in Cincinnati. The others passed through Cincinnati or directly to Stearns County, Minnesota, Catherine, in 1883 (married Bernard ENNEKING), Bernard in 1887, and most of the rest in 1889 (Joseph stayed in Neuenkirchen). The parents came too, Heinrich Friedrich Renneker (1832-1913) and Marie Bernardine "Gertrude" Josephine GIESKE (1830-1900) and died in Melrose. I have studied the family as far back as I can (stuck at the moment in about 1730). Probably other nearby parishes (Holdorf? Damme? Steinfeld?) have answers (I hope). Anyway, please write if you have information and further comments. Other families connected to the Renneker family include MOENING, DICKHAUS, GIESKE (GIESEKE), BECKMANN, KNAPKE, KEMPHUES, UHLENBORG, VON DREHLE, SIEVEKE, MEYER, KAETEN, STICKFORT, KRAKE, MEYERS, WORMANN, STEINKAMP.
