My grandfather was james Mahoney, born around 1869 in Enniskeane, Co. Cork. his known siblings were john, mary, julia, and Ellen. mary married a Daniel hennessy in new york city, julia married a Cornelius Regan in portsmouth, New hampshire. Don't know about Ellen. my grandfather James married mary W. hanney in portsmouth New Hampshire. The parents were James Mahoney and Mary Crowley, both common names in Co Cork, apparently! My g-grandfather James was said to have been a schoolteacher. Ring any bells?
