Anyone interested in looking at and perhaps
expanding on my research. So far, to
summarize, I'm looking at the Burns family
and have successfully gone back to Henry
Burns of Athens County Ohio who fought in
the Civil War with his father. They were
both in "A" Company, 63rd Regiment of OHIO.
From that time forward, I have most of my
family line. Anything before that and I'm
at a brick wall. I'm not sure of Henry's
father's name....but think it my be William
due to a Civil War Muster Roll Entry showing
the two serving together in A Company.
Henry Marion Burns was born in 1843, Athens
County Ohio, Bern Township. As best as I
can tell. We think our line goes back to
Scotland, but I can't prove it.
