I am searching for information on the Marcum family from LaRue county. I am basically trying to trace them back to before they came to the United States from Scotland/england to find out why clan they are affiliated with. I am afraid i don't have much information to start since my great grandfather died soon after I was born my Grandfathers name is Jack E. Marcum and his mother was Geneva Marcum (enlow) My family was very big in LaRue county owning many stores and such in Hodgensville. The only clue I have is the family orignated from 3 brothers that sailed from Glasglow Scotland and eventually settled in kentucky. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. My grandparents keep pushing it off when I ask them though they have said a family tree is some where in existence.
