To be able to use entries in a family Bible to prove births, deaths, marriages, etc. for my DAR application do I have to have photocopies of the title page and publication information or is it enough to just have it written down?
A relative of mine provided me with copies of the family record section of a family Bible to use in my DAR application. When I asked her for copies of the title page and publication information, she just wrote down the information and e-mailed it to me. Is this enough or should I ask her again to photocopy the title page and page with publication information? I'd really hate to pester her again but if it is necessary for the application I will.
Also, an ancestor of mine wrote a memoir/diary that is very detailed and it is something that I'd like to use as a source. BUT, it is 1) unpublished and 2) what I have is a typed copy of the handwritten original. Does this negate it from being an acceptable source?
Thank you to anyone able to help me with this, I appreciate it.
