I am researching a William Thompson who served in India probably about 1840-1850 to 1860-1870.His wifes name was Sarah.They had a son William J.Thompson born Meerut India 15/12/1853.The family went to New Zealand(not sure when) William J.Married Sarah Ann Drake there.
Can anyone help re finding out information re William(Snr)I think he may have come from Aberdeenshire and maybe served in the 104th Foot Regiment(Bengal Fusiliers)
