JOHN EVANS, born 2 November 1728 in MD, died 17 April 1798 in Green County, PA. Member of the 2nd Bn of the Washington Co., PA Militia (PA Archives, Series 6, Vol. 2, page 22 and 58). A Revolutionary War Veterans tombstone in his memory is located in the Fort Martin Methodist Church Cemetery in Fort Martin, WV (Cass District, Monngalia County, WV). I descend from his daughter Rachel Evans Par(r)ish.
