Could you please look up Tobias Norwood?
He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey in Nov 1744 and died in New York City on 28 Mar 1787.

He would have served in the army out of New York City.
He was a POW at the Sugar House Prison in New York.
His son (Andrew S. Norwood) gave a deposition of his father's activity in the War in 1854, it was cited in
"American Prisoners of the Revolution", by Danske Dandridge.
