Whilst Douglases have reunions and gatherings in many parts of the world, there has never been a Douglas Clan Gathering in Scotland.

Following the success of the clan tent at the 2009 International Clan Gathering in Edinburgh, it has been decided that there should be a Douglas Clan Gathering in Scotland in 2014.
