Glenn Denly Dies Oct. 16

Glenn Robert Denly, 65, of Osceola, died Tuesday, October 16 at his home, 120 West Logan. Funeral services were held Friday, October 19, at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Pastor Jack Cooper of Carlisle officiating the 11 a.m. rites. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery.

Glenn Robert Denly was born March 14, 1919 in Clarke County to Harry Denly and Mae Fields Denly. He attended schools in Clarke County and married Bernice Wilkins in Murray on June 15, 1944. Two children were born to this union. Glenn was a member of the Music club.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Osceola; son, James Wilson Denly and wife, Lana of Cedar Rapids; son, Francis Leroy Denly and wife Diana Lynn of Osceola; three grandchildren, Nicole, Jeffrey, and Lance; six brothers, Orval Denly, Clie Denly, Harold Denly, and Pearl Denly, all of Galesburg, Illinois, John Denly of Lorimor and Garold Denly of Osceola; sister, Ruby Wambold of Osceola; and sister-in-law Vada Denly of Osceola.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Fred, Ray and Roy Denly.
