Anton John Schend and his wife, Catherine Streit, came to Lyon County from Kenosha, Wi where they had met and married.
Anton was born in Trier,Prussia(Germany) July 16, 1843. My grandfather, Joseph John Schend, was born in Lyon County on November 1, 1883. The family eventually moved to Breckenridge, Mn and my grandfather left and went to Fresno, Montana. Any relatives still in Iowa. Anton John Schend's parents were Christian Schend(t) and Anna Proman.
