As a hobby I rescue old photos & attempt to locate family to send them to.

I have one that reads, "Aunty Augusta Schilling, sleeps in Los Angeles, California." It was taken in Detroit, MI.

In a small search on this lady I found the following:
Augusta Gutzka Schilling.
B. 2 Mar 1852 Finkenstein,Rosenberg Dist. W. Prussia, Germany.
D. 21 June 1892 Los Angeles, CA.
Daughter of Michael Gutzka & Christine Schultz.

One marriage record in Detroit, MI when she married Gottlieb
Schilling. 20, Oct. 1880.

Then there is a reference to being married to Gustave Schilling & having two sons: Charles b. 1879 & Henry b. 1895. No records available.
