I believe your JR may be James Robert Callen, son of John Carr Callen and
Rebecca Elefair Gandy. John Carr b. 7-1-1825 d. 4-21-1904 This John Carr is the son of Robert H. Callen and Elizabeth Wallace. This is part of my family. Dorcas Callen, dau of Robert and Elizabeth is my line. I have been researching this line for 15 yrs and made lots of errors, but I finally found enough evidence to prove John Carr, Aaron, Dorcas, Mary, Robert H. Jr, and Serena were children of Robert. Robert was son of John C. Callen and Agness R. Kerr. John C. and Agness also had a son John Kerr Callen who raised his family in Dallas Co. My family is found mostly in Lowndes, Butler and Crenshaw counties. James Robert married Emma V. (will have to look up the name) They had Elma married Robert Martin Dixon, Kate married a Priester, Bertha married a Metcalfe, Orall Callen, Ersie married a Stringer, R.
