Esther Buckwalter b. 3/13/1751 d. 9/25/1821 (per her tombstone) married Joseph Cassel 1770 and five children. Barbara b. 9/11/1771, Joseph b. 10/20/1772, David b. 2/4/1774, Abraham b. 6/23/1776 & Esther Veronica b. 2/17/1778.

Esther Buckwalter Cassel was married a second time to Abraham Metz b. 12/18/1755 d. 3/20/1843 of Rapho Twp. Lancaster Co. PA. This union produced four more issue. John b. 3/4/1784 d. 1860, Anna b. 8/25/1791 Christian b. 4/18/1812 d. unknown Elizabeth b & d unknown.

Record in part reads; March 6, 1783 Joseph Cassel, decd. late of Rapho tp. Adm. Abraham Metz & his wife Esther (late Cassel) etc.

More important; Sept. 2, 1783 Joseph Cassel, decd. late of Rapho tp. Reads in part Adm. Abraham Metz & his wife Esther (late Cassel) …. The deceased left a widow Esther, now the wife of Abraham Metz, and four minor children; to wit, Barbara (now about 12), Joseph (nearly 11 years, David (age 81/2), and Esther (aged 5 years). It would appear that Abraham Cassel b. 6/23/1776 had died before 1783.
