Hi - wondering if someone can help me. I have a marriage record for John A. McGlinn and Mary Isabelle Hammil; 1920. It lists resindence for both bride and groom as Presque Isle. I can find John in Presque Isle in the 1920 census. I can't find the Hammil (Hamill) family in 1920. I know they came from NB just not sure when. I have gone all through the 1920 census for Presque Isle. The family must be living somewhere in or near Presque Isle obviouly as John and Isabelle are getting married. They met somewhere! I'm wondering if they are still living in NB. What town was closest to Presque Isle in 1920? Or does anyone know of missing pages to the 1920 census? Her family would have consisted of father James, mother Annie (Maggie) and sister Mary Helena (Lena). Brother Arthur may or may not have been still living with them.
